We invented Dynamic Lighting
This article on Reuters talks about the growth of the Eastern European games development market. It’s actually an interesting article on the development of mobile products an other such intrigues.
My favourite part however is the spokesman for EA Romania claiming that they invented Dynamic Lighting:
“…We invented the technology, it’s called ‘dynamic lighting’ said Mihai Pohontu, general manager of Romania’s mobile phone branch of Electronic Arts Inc, the world’s biggest video game publisher…”
I’m sure several hunred thousand other developers in the US and elsewhere, from since…lets say Doom, or Quake would probably disagree. Still let’s not go bursting the economic bubble eh?

On average, if an article claims something outlandish from someone who should know better, I’m blaming the reporter. Money says there’s either relevant words omitted or just replaced entirely in that quote. Or it could be a translation faff.
